Case Study: Industrial Photography for Sol by Sunna Design
In summer 2026, Sol by Sunna Design—a solar energy company based in Miami with a marketing team based in Canada—hired me to photograph two solar infrastructure projects in the greater Albuquerque area. The first project was a long stretch of solar-powered street lights alongside an interstate frontage road, and the second was a pedestrian lighting project in the International District of the city. The shoot spanned three days at both sunrise and sunset and involved a mix of handheld, tripod, and drone photography. I always love the challenge of making seemingly ordinary objects that we see every day look elevated and interesting, and I always try to bring storytelling and a sense of place to my work, even when the subject is a streetlight. The shoot was a success, and the client was very happy with the photos, which will be used for case studies, website redesign, and general advertising.
